Kemi Adetiba is very educated. Kemi had her secondary education in Atlantic Hall High School in Epe, Lagos. She holds a bachelor degree in Law from the prestigious University of Lagos and Kemi was called to bar after completing a year in Nigerian Law School. Kemi then started her professional media career in Rhythm 93.7 as a radio presenter. Even from childhood she had always been in the media, as a child, Kemi headlined two national television advertisements for iconic detergent brand, Omo.
After some years in front of the camera, Kemi Adetiba enrolled at the New York Film Academy in order to tighten her grips on the fundamentals of cinematography. The effects of that training is evident today as her work is globally recognised from Africa, Canada and all other parts of the world.
Looking at her family, Kemi’s parents are very educated. Her mother Mayen Adetiba who is of the Efik ethnic origin is the first female Civil engineer to be elected into the executive committee of the Nigeria Society of Engineers. Her father is also a very seasoned lecturer and marketing professional.
